(Apr 2020) Poetry From The Cud: |
The Wilderness
Oliver Duchesne
The air was crisp and sweet
The sky the color of old jeans
A dirt trail, winding like warm spaghetti
A sturdy stick in hand
Musical birds, singing a symphony
Above the sun-flecked tree line, towards a hilltop
Showcasing the smoldering sunset
In its wine red and flamingo pink glory
