Poetry From The Cud: |
Henry Eight
Henry Eight should have accepted his fate
to have no son
with Catherine Aragon
If he were less ruder
he would have allowed Mary Tudor
To be Queen the sooner.
We would have seen
a fruitful union
with a younger version
of the King of Spain, mainly.
Henry’s grandson would have been
his genetic
Holy Roman Emperor, domainly.
But his libido dominandi
simply made him randy
for someone handy, Ann Boleyn.
In lust of a son
he cut down Ann Boleyn
(Was he insane?)
and Edward Six eventuated.
Archbishop Cranmer bet on him
as on the young Josiah.
But when the poor boy passed away
He doubled or nothing on Lady Jane Grey:
Saying
‘Come on baby light my fire’.
