Poetry From The Cud: |
Gather round people and let me tell you a story
A three year long story of power and pride
A thoroughbred of The Brook and a young filly of Vic
Galloping along side by side
Red Beard the pirate was fat with cunning and muscle
Beef was his business, broad was his door
Poppet was keen and spoke quite a bit
She had a farm girl parlance; her eyes pinned the pirate to the floor
'Twas a night of matrimony they first went toe-to-toe,
That chicken man dance aroused a prick in her eye
He stopped in his tracks, dazed and bewitched
Before careering her way like a blue ass fly
The mini bar grew thin their vision was blurred
City Vs Country, Skye cracked the whip
Yeeeehargghh cried the concrete cowboy
We’re off to the farm zip-a-di-zip
From fat fighter to polo rider, big city lights to cow paddy delights
Cometh the man cometh the hour
There was only one thing left to do
.....with that mystical flower
The copper topper was buffed, them blue eyes were a sparklin,
His hamstring went and he fell to one knee,
Will you marry me dear Poppet
To which she replied Yes Sireee!!!!!
