This month, The Cud launches our inaugural Cud Short Essay Prize.
We hope to encourage engaging and original thought on the compelling issues of today and invite our readers to enter now for a chance to win a $200 Amazon.com gift voucher!

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER IS THE GREATEST CHALLENGE FACING YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY TODAY?
AT A GRASSROOTS, NON-GOVERNMENTAL LEVEL, WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST COULD BE DONE TO IMPROVE THE CURRENT SITUATION?
Contest Information & Rules:
- Deadline for entries is 11.59PM EST on May 14, 2010.
- ONLINE ENTRIES ONLY. Submit your entry to feedback@thecud.com.au as a .doc file in MS Word Format along with your name and contact details. Postal entries will not be accepted.
- Word length: No fewer than 700 and no more than 1500 words maximum. No exceptions.
- One entry only per person.
- Prize- $200 gift certificate to Amazon.com
- Decisions of the judges are final.
- The winner will be notified by email after May 20th and their winning essay published in the June issue of The Cud.
- If the judges deem fit, two runner-up entries will also be published in the June issue of The Cud.
