All of the photographs in this two-part pictorial where taken on a recent trip to Washington State. I started in Olympic National Park, then moved on to the Hoh Rainforest, and finally finished up at Ruby Beach along the coast. It was my first time truly exploring this part of the region, lush from recent rain and featuring wild, rocky coastlines that reminded me of past visits to New Zealand. It was interesting to learn that global warming is impacting even this wet region, with temperatures in the area rising, forest fires a pending threat, and higher ocean temperatures impacting currents and marine life.
