I became aware of Quebec's Hotel de Glace several months ago, and deemed it worthy of a field trip north through the Maine wilderness, past dozens of moose statues, and with only Quebecois rap to keep me awake for the last two hours of the drive. An ice castle lit up like a Slovakian dance club (I speak from experience) and serving up colorful cocktails in large ice cubes, it was indeed worth the drive.
